So here’s a close up of what I worked on the past couple days (what I was doing in hat time lapse video yesterday!).
✅ I clad the side of the low wall that transitions our tiny house from living room to kitchen. And I made that blue pine line up with the blue pine on the back of the couch, which is just a picky little detail that won’t be seen most of the time, but makes me crazy happy.
✅ I fixed the functionality of our couch by removing and replacing the last sliding board on the end and cutting down the front face so that it doesn’t hit the counter when you lift it up to access the storage below the seat.
I thought a lot the last couple days about how, three years ago, I didn’t know how to use a drill and driver set - and we didn’t own either, had really only ever measured furniture to fit in a space, and how much my confidence with using them has grown from struggling to remove screws from the subfloor her previous owner put in to throw g things up without much struggle. 🧜🏻♀️ BONUS FUN FACT: when we were taking out those first subfloor screws, Tom was faster, so he had the drill and I struggled with the driver. The driver and I got to know each other rather well and I still prevent it for most everything. I know how to replace the bit without help and I feel like I have better control over it. Tom goes a little crazy with how much I use it, but it’s my favorite! 🤷♀️ Shoutout to @milwaukeetool! •
