As I peruse photos of friends attending cons this weekend, as well as other photos from cosplayers with far more skill than I, I just want to #throwback to the furthest I've forayed into the hobby (without buying ready-made pieces): my Jurassic Park raptor loading employee.
The helmet is a standard hard hat with a JP logo I printed on sticker paper. The shirt is a dark blue work shirt on which I ironed a JP patch I found on eBay (and which clearly needed to be ironed again, as it was peeling off in this pic). Over it is a cheap "tactical vest" from Amazon. Clipped to that is an InGen ID badge I ordered online. Finally, I'm wielding a toy shotgun, the least impressive part of the getup in my opinion. It's far too small, and I was unfortunately unable to find a replica SPAS-12 (the actual gun the JP movie used). Also, yes, I'm aware it's bad practice to have one's finger on the trigger.
I also served as the photographer for this shot, in one of my first utilizations of a green screen.
