I created this simple ginger garlic shiitake noodle dish for @ouragami recently as a fifteen minute dish that works well for cancer patients. I’ve recently learned how important it is for patients to be on a low bacteria diet as their immine systems are greatly compromised during radiation. What I love about @ouragami is their commitment to making life easier for those affected by cancer— one by creating an anti-microbial hat, and two by pledging to grant a wish for a cance patient for every 1000 hats sold. It's not Wednesday and I'm not crushing, but I am tagging boss beauties this Tuesday!
If your eating habits were less than ideal over easter weekend— you might start with this cleansing ACV (apple cider vinegar) drink I provided for @knowhowstudios in my article All About Lemons 🍋 I take 16 ounces of warm water and add the juice of 1/4 lemon, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and a dash of cayenne. You can also add 1 tsp of raw honey if needed. It’s never too late for a reset.
I’ve been guilty of behaving like I have no control at all over what I think. The thought itself may be beyond my control, but entertaining it is a choice. Paraphrasing a Chinese proverb— You cannot prevent birds from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair. ————————————————————————————-Take charge over your thoughts and you’ll improve the quality of your life.
My meditation always begins with devotion. I use my journal to write about a bible scripture and the meaning that has been revealed to me. After, I move to my quiet time of meditation with either the outdoor soundtrack of nature, or relaxing music. When I hike, I always take a little time at the top to enjoy the view. I love looking at the bottom of the mountain to see how far I’ve traveled. ————————————————- In life, it’s always good to take a moment to reflect and even celebrate how far you’ve come. In my latest podcast episode, you’ll hear a story within a story illustrating the fact that life should be celebrated daily. You don’t have to wait for a big holiday or till you hit a huge milestone. Life has value and meaning every day.

Doing a little survey for reseach purposes— ladies, do you like it when strangers tell you to smile? I personally do not give even a micro change when it is shouted to me as I walk past. I am simply resting my face or deep in thought. I do smile when the occasional stranger says something nice which causes me to smile, however. 😊Happy #internationalwomensday 👯♀️
