#MØ - Nights With You. Once lauded as a national treasure, the historic House of The Bulgarian Communist Party at Buzludzha sits eerily abandoned and dilapidated atop a mountain crest, following the fall of communism in 1989. The gargantuan structure is one of the few remaining symbols in the country that hasn’t been forcibly dismantled. Years of pillaging its decorative and structural interior, and exposure to the elements, has left it in a crumbling state of decay. Take a short drive down the southern side of the peak and you’re faced with the site’s gatekeeper: a striking monument formed of two imposing metallic fists, each gripping a flaming torch, that together symbolise the sharing of an ideology and the unifying alliance between Russia and Bulgaria.
