A few days late… It has been a little crazy in the Poelman household lately.
It’s obvious that connecting with nature and the outdoors can conjure up something in each of us that we can’t get from anything else. Zane is no exception to this! He has a special (maybe deeper than most) connection to Mother Earth 🌏 and considering this week we celebrated Earth Day, here it goes…
Z definitely enjoys his time indoors playing on his iPad, building LEGO’s, battling it out on the WII, building puzzles & playing Skip-Bo or Uno, but Z most definitely enjoys his time outdoors. Whether that be riding his bike, snow or water skiing, hiking, or swimming in the ocean, or just hanging out in the back yard, OUTSIDE is his favorite place to be. He seems to be at peace when he’s outside. Free to be who he is. Zane loves the Ocean. It’s a magical place for him. The chaotic simplicity of the asymmetrical pressures of a riptide, or the inconsistent pattern of a constant incoming surge of waves and the riptide, or the pungent smell of salt & washed-up seaweed on the beach, or the finite sensation of the abrasive feelings of every grain of sand between his toes. Not really sure what it is, but the frequency of the natural world seems to strike a familiar and comforting chord with the symphony inside this amazing young man.
Sorry to be mia the last couple of days but I promise to make up for it with a few extra posts over the course of the next few days.
