After dinner treat and cuddles with my sweet pea! I came across an ad for this lower calorie ice cream a while back, I decided to give it a try when I finally saw it in the store! Hey guys! I tested my fasting blood sugar and ketone levels and weighed in this morning. My GKI was 3.8 which is higher than I wanted it to be. Again, I am going to be doing some experimenting this week to see what makes my blood sugar spike in the morning. I think I am going to just drink water and coffee Monday- Wednesday this week and see how that affects my fasting blood sugar. A GKI between 3 and 6 is ‘moderate ketosis’ so it’s still okay, but again, I’ve seen lower! And for the weight, I am at 157.6 lbs which is down 1.6 lbs from last week and a total of 6.1 lbs down. Today was a good day! I had to work for a couple hours but then my husband and I walked 9 holes. After golfing with the same clubs for ~15 years, I finally got new ones last week-- this was my first test drive(r) 😉

Almost hit my goal for one of the diet bets I'm in! Did 1 mile total today on hill mode (split) with some upper body machines in between.

It's more than 50 degree outside and I shaved my legs Friday so shorts it is!! Starting to feel like all I do is go to the gym tbh so that's what the face is for.. do you all have people you workout with? And if not, how have you found people and/or dealt with always going by yourself?? 90% of the time I'm alone at the gym and I guess it's starting to wear on me so that's why I ask. You never know who you're inspiring! On the days at 485lbs when my muscles were sore, legs weak, motivation low, and i just personally couldn't find it in myself to hit the gym I thought of those who I'd let down if I didnt save my own life. I thought about how my husband wouldn't have a wife to grow old with, my parents wouldn't have a daughter to watch grow up, my grandma wouldn't have a caretaker, and my baby brother and sister wouldn't have someone to look out for them. On the days where I couldn't push myself I thought of them and pulled through. By losing 312lbs they have a new improved sister who will be around for a longer life with them full of activities they never could do before growing up. On the days you don't feel like you can keep going remember those who need you too. Start today!

if you don’t have food prepared or good (whatever good is for you, low cal, macro friendly etc.) snacks available.. you are setting yourself up for failure. I know that if I don’t eat sooner than later then I start to just eat whatever is in reach, and that could be very bad.

plan to have a routine. plan for the weak moments. plan for your journey to take time. PLAN. set some goals and crush them little by little.

when I started my journey. I set out with 5 small goals. and those goals still carry me through on this journey.
1. cut out all liquid calories.
2. plan 1 healthy meal a day ahead of time.
3. workout 5 times a week.
4. on bad days, remind yourself how far you’ve come.
5. log your food every single day. no matter how good or bad you did.
