It was the honor of a lifetime to be captain of Team America for the Ride'er Cup Pub Golf Tournament! 🇺🇸🏌🏼I'd like to thank our sponsors at Fisher Price, McDonalds, the LPGA, and Amazing Borneo. It was a hard fought contest, and team Europe put up a fight, but in the end it was #AMURICAFUCKYEA 🇺🇸💪🏼 #TheBack(6)9 #DickNixon #ImNotSureWhosChildThatIs

On this episode of This Day In History, Tony and Armand tell us about the grizzly "Manson Family" murders of Sharon Tate and four others at Tate's home in Hollywood.
In 1969, followers of Charles Manson entered the home on 10050 Cielo Drive where they murdered pregnant actress Sharon Tate, coffee heiress Abigail Folger, actor Wojciech Frykowski, hairstylist Jay Sebring, and Steven Parent.  The murders sent shockwaves throughout Hollywood and the rest of the United States as the "Manson Family" gained notoriety for one of the most sinister crimes of the century.
Plus, Richard Nixon becomes the first President of the United States to resign from office in 1974, the Grateful Dead's Jerry Garcia passes away in 1995, and 2014 sees 18-year-old Michael Brown shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. Joins us for all this and more on today's show! 🗣🎙🎧 #podcast #podcastshow #history #sharontate #mansonfamily #charlesmanson #dicknixon #richardnixon #jerrygarcia #michaelbrown

Miss yesterday's show? On yesterday's episode of This Day In History, Tony and Armand tell us about the United States Supreme Court ruling that sees President Richard Nixon ordered to turn over his recorded conversations. In 1974, the U.S. Supreme Court votes 8-0 to uphold the subpoena of special prosecutor Leon Jaworski and orders President Nixon to surrender the Watergate tapes for use in the trial against his former aides. In an opinion written by Chief Justice Warren Burger, it was said that Nixon's claim of "executive privilege" authorizing him to keep the tapes did not apply in this matter. Plus, Apollo 11 returns safely by landing in the Atlantic Ocean in 1969, and Amelia Earhart is born on this day in 1897. #podcast #history #podcastshow #thisdayinhistory #nixon #dicknixon #watergate #apollo11 #ameliaearhart
