"When the fight gets tough, fight harder". Once said by fellow type 1 diabetic, @nickjonas
I felt this quote fit my college experience perfectly.
I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes on December 2, 2014. I was a freshman in college. Because of the sudden, drastic life change, both freshman year and sophomore year were absolutely horrible. I received not one but two letters in the mail warning me that if my grades continued to drop, like they were, I would lose my financial aid. And without financial aid, I most likely wouldn't have been able to continue to further my education.
But I pushed through all the negatives and now I'm here! Graduating college a member of Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society of Business, Managemnt, and Administration (heck yeah!) as well as getting a GPA for the year, both semesters, of a 3.5 or higher to make it onto the Dean's List, receiving an honor cord for that accomplishment. I started from a very low point in my college life and turned that into a very positive and healthy outcome.
Thanks guys for being here for me and being there in time of need, advice, and support. You diabuddies rock!! 😘💙 #cse2018
