Sorry...yes another diabetes post. It's a huge part of my life so... yea.
But I am excited and super proud. Only diabetics now truly how hard blood sugar and insulin control can be.
The past 2 weeks my average sugar has been 102! 80% in range, 19% low and only 1% high!
With exercise, strict diet, and understanding the pharmacology of insulin, I have been able to achieve and hold perfect and even better than non-diabetic control over my diabetes.
I am excited to see how I can keep this going. I will be healthier than ever, no different than a healthy non-diabetic.
And for my bodybuilding goals...I will look great at my show but looking in the future. I will be able to grow muscle easier, while staying leaner and performing in the gym better.
If you have a diligent mindset and drive...you can do this. Make your doctors scratch their heads at how you did it. My doctors ask me questions all the time.
This is our health we are dealing with here. Why half ass it? Why risk having to deal with complications?!? I really just go by feel and watching my Dexcom. I bloused .8iu all day for 95g carb. Only used 23iu basal.
Thanks again to @dexcom The technology you have for blood sugar monitoring is priceless. Every diabetic should have a Dexcom in my opinion. Using the handy reports in the Clarity app I can really dial things in. #type1 #type1strong #diabetes #diabeticmuscle #diabeast #diabetic #type1diabetes #t1d #health #insulin #cgm #bloodsugar #medicine #insulinpump #proud #prouddiabetic @medtronicdiabetes #dexcomwarrior
