Denial can take place at various stages of the diabetes life cycle of an individual. But most importantly it can happen before diagnosis (where you ignore the classic symptoms), after diagnosis and during a pre-diabetes phase. Denial will only result in increased blood sugars over long periods of time and increase the chances of diabetes related damages. #diabetestype2 #diabetes #type2diabetes #diabeticfood #diabeticlife #diabetic #diabetics #diabetescontrol #prediabetes #glucoseintolerance #glucosetest #diabetescomplications #diabetes2 #diabetesawareness visit www.theundiplomaticdiabetic.com

Be bold, share your voice, and never stop being YOU!! Fight for what you believe in and advocate for yourself! Do your own research! And if you’re feeling up to it fight like hell for others while you’re at it. I advocate for others because I understand not everyone can and wants to be an advocate. Whether you believe it or not we are ALL ONE.
I blew this poster up of me on dialysis to put next to my Vote NO on 8 sign...(I am still gathering courage to put it in front of my house) I am sickened at the way our health care system is. I am disgusted with the insurance companies. I have been a professional patient for 20 years. Insurance companies need to STOP preying on people that aren’t healthy. Please do your own research when it comes time to vote. Please vote. Please share your voice!! Please think of not only yourself while you’re voting but others as well. ♥️♥️♥️

“Instead of saying, I don’t have enough time! Try saying I am not a priority and see how that feels!” A little bit of a gut check quote right? 😔

This quote was something that stopped me in my Facebook scrolls years ago and made me have a long look at where my priorities were....and where they weren’t!
I placed
every...
single...
thing... On the front burner and I was on the back....the WAY back! Truly I made a lot of excuses as to why I wasn’t doing something this vital for me... I was busy at work...
I was busy as a mom...
I was busy as a wife...
I was busy with house stuff...
I was busy getting kids to and from activities... Blah...blah...blah....all the above was true, but how good would I be to all those important people above if I didn’t start making my health a priority!
The risks of cardiovascular disease is HUGE in someone with diabetes... Along nerve damage, eye damage, kidney disease, etc.... None of the above I have had to deal with in my almost 27 years with this disease, but it’s also something I want to prevent!
There are two paths...
Control it...or let it control you!
I refuse to let this control me, so I will do whatever I can to prevent, prevent, prevent!
Exercise and proper nutrition is vital for all...no matter if you are one of the lucky ones that don’t have any illnesses or diseases to fight daily.
We all need to see exercise and nutrition as our daily medicine...it will be the best investment you could give to yourself and your family!
Are you ready to move yourself to the front burner? If so, let’s connect! 💕
