This place is my new favorite museum! Dia: Beacon is a contemporary art museum located in a former Nabisco factory in the town of Beacon, NY. The space itself is gorgeous, with high ceilings and large windows letting in natural light. The art inside are installations, so not only are they large in scope, but they feel more interactive as you navigate the parameters and space they occupy.
* Beacon is located in the Hudson Valley and has its own stop along the Metro North line. You can buy a bargain $40 round trip ticket + museum admission ticket from Grand Central Station. The town itself is lovely, with cute shops and a fantastic coffee shop called Bank Square.
