Beginning on Monday we have two special exhibitions on display in the MSD Dulux Gallery: Urban Hallucinations by Julie Eizenberg and Work: In Play by Dylan Brady. In Urban Hallucinations, Julie Eizenberg, @koningeizenberg staff and friends address designed culture and everyday life in their iconic city: Los Angeles. Work: In Play showcases Dylan's large scale drawings from his own journey of practicing architecture at Decibel Architecture @decibelarchitecture. Perceived destinations like houses and skyscrapers are simply waystations, crescendos of madness and moments of stillness along the continuing path.
Baron Daybed is a design submission from Blakk Design for Rair Exterior, a beautiful and artistic centerpiece, so eclectic. Designed and developed meticulously from the finest cane and water-resistant material, Baron would be perfect for both indoor and outdoor. It would become a focal point in any room due to its simple geometrical silhouette and its extreme monolithic structure, it is meant to be a flagship attraction in any settings.
Submitted by Ravi Varma, MESA is a concept portable light that operates based on simple principle, a light should shine where you are looking and not in your eyes. This light offers revolutionary form factor that provides directed light without glare, it allows you to see indoors and out.
Fun facts: Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently it is serene and mentally calming. It is the colour of clear communication. Blue objects do not appear to be as close to us as red ones. Time and again in research, blue is the world's favourite color and the most used in corporate branding. . . . . . .
