Real friends spot you in such a way that you can’t tell if it’s #depthornah. 😂😂 Needed a good squat day like crazy, and here it is! 2 sets of 2 at 265 (in all seriousness, we think the first reps were good and second were right at parallel). Then I gave coach puppy dog eyes so that he’d let me do 3 plates for my banded squats and then a heavy hold at my deadlift max weight. 4 weeks out with an almost entirely healed hip (still wrapping it just in case) has given me the shot of confidence I need. Tried out a new gym in Louisville, The Factory Gym. Was a dope gym, 10/10 would come again. . 1st vid -Heavy single @425. Felt fairly easy, RPE ~8. 2nd vid -3rd set of 10x2 @375 3rd vid -7th set of 10x2 @375 4th vid -Last set of 10x2 @375 .
Meet day! This is where all the blood, sweat, and tears really add up. By far the best meet I've ever had. Went 9 for 9, hit a PR in every lift, and beat all of my old state records!! Tested my squat today, playing with different positioning and keeping a wider stance. First video is 225kg and second video is 230kg. Not entirely happy with the depth, not 100% sure it would pass in a comp, but it's given me a rough idea where I'm at and what my weaknesses are. #squat#gym#depthornah#powerlifting
