First job Sunday morning: bake my first ever batch of flaxseed crackers. Honestly, these are a cinch. I love the taste and texture of them and you can match them up with just about anything. I added a big sprinkle of dried Italian herbs to these, so savoury toppings or dishes are best. Im glad I decided to have a crack at baking them! My future goal though is to do the raw version but I am yet to buy a dehydrator. First pic tray is just about to go into the oven, pics 2 & 3 are the cooked cracker. .
2 cups ground flaxseed,
1/2 - 3/4 cup filtered water,
sea or pink Himalayan salt.
Sprinkle of dried Italian herbs (or whatever herbs you fancy),
Oh, and I added a tbls of nutritional yeast.
MIX well, and spread very thinly on a shallow tray lined with baking paper.
BAKE in a heated oven at 200C/400F for 20 - 30 mins or until crackers are crunchy.
HINT: score before putting into oven so pieces come out uniform. (If that's what you want!) 😜
THATS IT! .
