Curious fact: The Prickly Dogfish (Oxynotus bruniensis) is a little known, deep-water shark that lives in the temperate waters off of Australia and New Zealand. The skin has a very rough, prickly feel like sandpaper, due to the presence of scales known as dermal denticles (this is the source of the fish’s common name) .

Went 5 for 5 our on the ocean. I caught a sailfish. Jeremy and Ross each caught a Bullshark and my father & father in law caught marlins. It was such an incredible experience. I’m so happy I got to do this with all of them. The last marlin my dad caught we actually took back to our resort and had them cool it up. Soooo yummy. #thefellas#deepseafishing#marlin#bullshark#sailfish#theydidntstandachance
