I chose the Texas State Capitol Building for my final pose, on the steps of the main entry. This, the fourth building in Austin, serving as the Capitol building, was built between 1882 and 1888. The building, modeled after the Nation's Capitol, was paid for by exchanging 3 million acres of state land in the Panhandle of Texas for the construction of it. The red granite was quarried from Granite Mountain, near Marble Falls, Tx, mainly with the use of convict labor, but the contractor paid them and housed them. When completed, it had 392 rooms, 18 vaults, 924 windows, and 404 doors.
I wanted a shot of the full front face of the building, with my pose in it, but there were too many trees overhanging, blocking the view. You can swipe for two other shots I did showing the dome. On the last one, the video stopped recording just after I had started my pose. 😟A few photos do not adequately show the beauty of the grounds and the building, but I highly recommend a visit. 😊😊🙏🏻A big Texas hug and love to 2 very good yogi friends! ❤️💓The incomparable British @pixi_ani who is in a league of her own, and @luvbunn_andart, the Midwesterner whose strength, beauty and yogi skills are amazing! Both have been very supportive encouraging of me! 🙏🏻😊🙏🏻. ❤️😊🙏🏻Thanks to all the awesome hosts, and the brilliant idea to have this challenge, and the generous sponsors , as well as the other awesome, inspiring participants!
