DEPRESSION IS HARD: One day I feel like the best version of my self: light, bright and so full of gratitude for every little thing. And the next: overwhelmed, hopeless, dark isolation and aimlessness. Depression is not always easy to see but it doesn't mean the struggle is not there. We've been through a lot in the past week in this house: a major surgery, routine completely out of wack, body image issues, overwhelming clutter, feelings of lack of control, worries about debt repayment, cash flowing a new roof, and more. But that's the thing about depression, it can drop in and open up shop at any time. It doesn't care if everything is going perfectly or if it's the worst day of your life. It doesn't discriminate or make sense. Even when you have everything in the world to be thankful for and every reason to look forward to the future, you can still suffer from depression. And while I don't have all the answers, just please know you're not alone. I'm am here.
