The Flash. Whew, where do I start with this mess of a character. His sole purpose in this movie was to be the comedic relief. And that really comprised his character for me. There was nothing substantial about him for me to grab onto and relate to, aside from the fact that he’s a “fanboy”. (Insert me facepalming). Every single one, and I mean EVERY one of his lines just came out cringey to me. The only decent scene were he was serious was at the prison with his dad (which sorry, didn’t have the same emotional impact as Grant & John in the CW show). Other than that he was essentially a quip-machine.
He was just so far away from the Barry Allen I love, it’s nuts. While Barry is comedic at times, he’s not some quippy fanboy that doesn’t even know how to save one person. His suit is still butt-ugly and his running..... oh boy, someone needs to tell Ezra that’s not how anyone runs. Let alone someone whose literal power is running. He runs with his arms and legs flapping around like a damn windmill. I mean what the hell is that? 😫 This character needs so much damn work, I don’t know if they can do it. Especially if they start out with a Flashpoint movie.... Ugh whatever. He was by far my least fav member of the Justice League. Which sucks because I really love the character of Barry Allen. Oh well, he’s still my 6th fav member of the league!
