Cont. from yesterday)...if your mind went straight to all of her strengths, then let me do you a favor, and remind you that she's human and has weaknesses too.
She asked about 14 of her closest family and friends to anonymously submit constructive criticisms about her.
This is just some of what they said: "Learn to forgive yourself. Give yourself a pat on the back when you do something good. Learn how to quit." (She didn't like that last one- and to her disliking, more than one person said it) "Take more time for yourself. You're selfless. Being so selfless can lead to putting others before yourself- you get anxious because you aren’t appreciating yourself. Anxiety, overwhelmed, lost, no control because you always put others first." "Talk about your feelings more to your friends. Be more open. You keep your feelings hidden because you think you have to be strong on your own. Communication can be better with those who care about you. " "Don't expect people to live up to your standards.
You run so hard.....to the point of exhaustion." "Need to rest more
Need to sleep more." That's not even half of what they had to say.
While yes her drive, work ethic, and ability to achieve her goals is admirable, don't paint this perfect picture in your head about her.
At the end of the day, she is just like you and me. Plenty of great things about her, but also plenty of room to improve.
She wanted me to remind you all to never compare yourself to anyone. If you focus on your weakness simply because it's somebody else's strength, you're forgetting their weakness could be one of your strengths.... Beyond all of this, there was a dark side to her. One she fought against for years. But in the end, embracing her dark side is ultimately what pushed her to become undeniable in every way....(cont. tomorrow) #CreateYourLife #DayNine
