WHY stay in great shape? So that when your old high school friend is getting married right next to Pike’s Peak, and your other old bestie calls you up and says, “Hey! Want to go a day early and hike Pike’s Peak?” you can say YES without hesitation.
I love being active and being able to do super cool stuff because my body can handle it. Today, my body loved me for over 12 miles, up 8,000 feet to the summit, in about 6 hours, talking, laughing, and enjoying the beauty of this amazing earth. And other than a headache from the altitude (over 14,000 feet at the top!) I feel pretty darn good. •
I want to die young as late as possible, and I want to LIVE while I’m here! That is WHY I take time to take care of myself. •
