Soaring on the large wings of a huge white falcon tightly embracing your small stature carrying a huge pile of Marshall amps, you fly my friend 🤘Man this is hard hitting. Simply the best rhythm guitarist and riffmaster ever. Growing up blasting ac/dc and trying to learn this gentlemen’s gift to us all was a daily routine for me and probably just about every guitarist on planet earth. I mean damn his riffs are how we say hello when we jam with other musicians. He’s not only given us a piece of what he was made of, but set the diagram for us to make metal music. Long, long ago we decided to model ourselves after the “hey, you be the only rhythm player and master that (just like Malcolm), and I’ll be the lead guy. In this fashion when we hit the studio we will be a force nobody can touch.” And Thrash was born due to a little dude holding a GIANT Gretsch white falcon hillbilly Guitar and not giving a crap what others said. He knew tone.. Break the rules dude! Way to go Malcolm. —-> I remember hanging with Malcolm and Steve Harris asked us to kind of go back to back to see who was truly taller. We were pretty much exact and both kind of chuckled and said DIO is smaller. Coolest riffmaster ever. He built the fortress and foundation of a generation of metal. Rewrote the books on how to break rules and did it with class and the utmost perfection. He never clamored for that one spotlight of fame but instead screamed at you with pounding riffs that will stick in our heads and implant themselves deep within our souls eternal. . Sad day for music. Much respect and love sent to AC/DC and families.
