Christina Lyon, Founder and Artistic Director of Gala de Danza has invited the Académie de Danse Princesse Grace to collaborate with Gala de Danza 2018.
Gala de Danza is the heart of culture and art in Los Cabos, México. Since the summer of 2013, Gala de Danza has brought together artists from around the world to help enrich the lives of young dancers and the community. Dancers, choreographers and musicians from 20 different countries, have shared their talents in Los Cabos. The Académie de Danse Princesse Grace was founded in 1975 by Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco and His Serene Highness Prince Rainier III with the goal of establishing a high level dance school in the Principality of Monaco.
In 2009, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover appointed Luca Masala to the position of Artistic Director of Teacher Training, following Jean-Christophe Maillot Director of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo's recommendation. Luca Masala and Christina Lyon, recently met in Monaco to finalize details of this collaboration, and selecting Shale Wagman, a student of the Académie to participate in the 6th edition of Gala de Danza in Los Cabos, BCS, México, from March 15-17th 2018.
Shale was a finalist and judges favorite on "Canada's Got Talent" when he competed at age 11. At age 13 Shale became the Youth Grand Prix winner of the prestigious international ballet competition, Youth America Grand Prix where he performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
