The Dandora Dump Site: A Dangerous Source of Pollution🚯
Every day, more than 2,000 metric tonnes of waste are dumped here, despite the site being deemed full in 2001. The constant burning waste releases toxic gases leading to respiratory abnormalities, skin disorders, abdominal problems, and even eye infections in the local community.
March to the Top works to fund the Dandora Visitation and Maternal Child Health Center in partnership with the Holy Cross Mission in order to provide mothers in this community with quality access to care. Pollution and poverty contribute to complicated deliveries but this maternal center is a beacon of hope.
