Sunay fine tuning his feels for distances with his game day golf ball.
See what I said, "his game day golf ball". I have said it before, spending tons of time working on the range without your game day golf ball is not the best way to go about your practice session. Here is why... Range balls are constructed of different materials which in turn requires the mind to learn to create a stroke pattern that differs from your game day ball. So golfers spend countless hours working to improve their game / swing only to develop a pattern that is different.
Let's look at other sports. Which other sport spends pretty much all their time learning with a different ball then they play with? The answer, NONE. Only in golf is we're we see that. So WHY is that? WHY do golfers continue to think so institutionalized? Just because it has pretty much always been this way doesn't necessarily mean it's a good way. WHAT do you think would happen to other athletes in other sports if they trained all week long with a ball that completely differs from their game day ball?
Another thought provoking post later today. Stay tuned... #golf #golfcoaching #swingcoach #playyourbest #golfwrx
