I don't share this journey often. I'm not sure if it's because I'm still self conscious or don't want to come off like I'm looking for attention. But maybe my journey can be exactly what someone needs right now.
Back in July I realized it was time to make a change. I was miserable with the person I had become. I was tired of eating food that did nothing for me. Of complaining non-stop but not doing anything about it. I was tired of having no confidence in myself. I'm not sure when the mindset changed but it did. I decided to take charge. To slowly take back my life and not let food control me. I jumped on @whole30 with the thought that hey it's only 30 days and from there I can decide if it's right for me or not. Those 30 days changed my life. I became stronger mentally, I started feeling better, and the bonus I was losing weight. For the first time in my life I was becoming someone I could be proud of. After 30 days I let this new love for healthy food continue. Which lead me to 3 successful rounds of whole30. Then in February I decided to bring in working out. Which was not a fan of. But I took the mindset I created for whole30 and moved it to my workout goals. For 30 days I was going to do @dailyburn non-stop. After the 30 days I found a love for working out and haven't missed a day since I started. I think the reality is we need to create a mindset that pushes us. Set small goals to accomplish the big goals. Take it one day at a time, but do it even if it's waking up at 430 in the morning so you don't talk yourself out of it. We are all stronger than we think.
As of today I can say I'm officially 50 pounds down and 10 away from my goal weight. I'm stronger and have a confidence I never knew existed. I have a new love for healthy food and working out, all because I decided to make the change. .

Sweaty mess just the way I love it!! Inferno day 8 ~ finished Power before 6am. I really love this workout. I was able to do every movement so the challenge came from endurance. Each move was paired with another move and you did them each for 1 minute before a short break. My favorite move was the pushup and then you keep your hands on the floor and pop your feet in towards your chest and back out again. There were so many lunges and plyo lunges that I am learning to embrace my least favorite move lol!! This workout uses weights and bodyweight in movement. My cardio endurance is getting so much better. I have started carb cycling and yesterday was my first day consuming about 50% of my calories from carbs. I have been doing a high fat low carb plan for a few months so it was hard to see that carb number come up yesterday. Plus it was hard to get my percentage that high. I have already transitioned away so much of the normal carbs (like pasta, potatoes) that I am now searching for hmm what carbs will I eat. It is a definite flipped switch in my mind. I will do this for a few days and then go back to HFLC for a few days and alternate. I am looking at the Inferno calendar to see what days are best for me to consume carbs so I burn them out on this intense program the following day. This is all part of the plan to keep my body guessing and keep being metabolic flexible. I am still doing Intermittent Fasting as well. I am technically on the 3rd phase of 131 but I am alternating it to fit my needs and exercise program. Let's see what happens with this experiment!
