We just saw an online story about 18 year old and blind dachshund Muneca, who has been brought to an animal shelter. This is her leaping into the arms of a volunteer, the first person she met in the shelter being terrified and left alone and immediately clinging to the arms of her visitor. A photographer captured this moment in heartbreaking photos that show so much love and should remind all of us that our beloved dachshunds will become seniors one day and deserve to grow old in the best and most loved way possible and not be left behind in a shelter. After those photos went viral a rescue group got her out of the shelter and placed her in a foster home. Let's just hope Muneca can adapt to her new family and feel loved and happy again!
