Alumnae player: Domi Scheurer!🏒 International Forward Domi Scheurer, 22 years old from Bern, Switzerland played with the NAS Team Red, who won Gold at the Czech Hockey Challenge Cup of summer 2016!🥇 Scheurer who started playing hockey at the age of 6 is now playing her fourth hockey season for the MacEwan University Griffins in Edmonton, Canada!🇨🇦
In her youth has Scheurer been playing for different boys and girls teams, the last boys team she played for was HC Wisle and the women’s team she played with for four seasons is EV BOMO Thun, which is playing in the SWHL-A(Swiss Women’s Hockey League) the highest women’s league of Switzerland. She moved to Edmonton at the age of 18 after she finished her business degree in Switzerland.
Scheurer has been representing her country in ice hockey but also inline hockey. She was a part of the U18 Swiss National women’s team who sadly went down on the U18 Women’s World Championship Top Div. in 2012 but won Silver at the U18 Women’s World Championship Div1 in 2013 in her own country!
She played one Inline Hockey World Championship with the Swiss National Women’s Team and one European Championship! We have talked with her and asked her the following questions:
What are your dreams? /What do you still want to reach in your hockey career?
“My dream/goal is to reach the CWHL (Canadian Women’s Hockey League) Pro League”
What are your experience with the NA Stars?
“My experience with the NA Stars were amazing. Meeting all those great hockey players from all over the world and play with them was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It’s definitely one of the best tournaments in the world and I made a lot of new friends that I still talk to today!” What would you like to say to girls who might want to play for NA stars, or the CHCC? “If you get the chance you should definitely play for the NA stars because you get to meet a lot of great hockey players from all over the world, learn from them and make new friends!
