💃🏻A GIFTED OFFERING!💃🏻
MOON TIME – 13 WAYS TO HONOUR AND CELEBRATE YOUR SACRED BLOOD
🖤An e-book that has been patiently waiting to collaborate with me for quite some time and finally the timing is right.
🖤In times gone by, the magic held within the physiological dance of a womans womb was revered. Her potent bleeding time was honoured and recognized as the lifegiving force it is. Her menstrual cycle was rejoiced for the gifts and messages it brought the individual woman as well as her community. The young girls in these communities very much looked forward to experiencing their first bleed. Menarche was seen as a precious transitional life event and a rite of passage that was ritualized and steeped in traditional celebration. The way in which menarche was viewed played a significant role in cultivating healthy reproductive function which was essential to the survival of a womans lineage and blood line.
🖤In modern patriarchal times we are living in a society which functions under a very masculine, linear energy. We carry on and push forward at the same pace day in day out or else we are seen as weak or failing. We have been conditioned as a society to think and feel that our monthly bleeding time is an annoyance. Something that gets in the way of us living our busy lives. Our sacred bleed time is viewed as dirty, shameful and nothing more that a gross hindrance to be hidden as best as possible and merely tolerated.
🖤Everything is interconnected. The way we dismiss our internal monthly cycle and the disconnection we show towards our bleeding time is mirrored in the dismissive and disconnected way we treat Mother Earth.
🖤It is my belief that connection starts within. If we can tune in and reconnect with our physical bodies, we will open to the messages and magic that is held within our internal cycles and seasons. We will recognize the interconnectedness and the mirroring of our internal seasons and cycles in the Moon’s lunar cycles and Mother Earth’s seasonal cycles and we will start treating ourselves, each other and Mother Earth in a more connected, compassionate and careful manner.

🌹👉NEW BLOG POST!!!!👈🌹
AND... and little deep dive into my move away from Nourished Collective, and into Rewilding Journeys. 🌱🌱🌱
2017 was a huge and mammoth year for me. I not only birthed my second baby and came home from a year of traveling. I also completely re-branded and restructured my business and launched a new website and 2 planners, and continued co-facilitating Goddess Gatherings with Erin…
Phew. What an amazing ride!

During this huge but necessary shift, I have been able to really focus and become more clear on the things that really set my soul on fire! The things that I feel so excited to bring to you, or share with you. I have grown a lot, and I have also had to dive deep into my shadow side to peel back the layers and release what no longer serves me. I have lent into discomfort and begged for guidance when I felt lost and confused ready to give up- only to be met with huge awakenings and messages about where my lightwork is leading me. I have allowed a lot to be released and pruned back so that the new growth in the form of ideas, inspiration and new offerings can be nurtured and tended to. This honestly feels like a breath of fresh air! Shedding the old and tending to the new sprouts of growth as I honour my own next phase of womanhood is so incredibly invigorating. And this is definitely coming through in my work.
I have decided to phase out the use of ‘Nourished Collective.’ I will be using my own name!

As a mentor for women, I will continue to celebrate womanhood, support life in flow, and honour every phase… but with a foundational focus on Rewilding. Read more about what #rewilding actually is, and why it is my soul-work on my blog; link in bio 👆👆🌱

🌹Blood prayers 🌹 For the first time since having my second baby, my cycle has returned back to it usual 30 days. I am on day 2 and I can feel a weight lifted, and the veil between worlds is thin. I feel inspired and connected- while also slow and introverted (not great timing for Christmas). At our most recent goddess gathering I made this blood chalice from clay. I felt called to have something sacred hold my blood when the time came to make my blood prayers and connect back with Mother Earth. Despite unsettled kidlets and an unachievable need for solitude, I managed to still bless my new chalice with my blood as she was placed under our lemon tree.
I am so grateful my flow arrived before the year ended as it feels really in sync with my current state of releasing....ready for a fresh new year.
What prayers and releasing/rituals are you making/doing as this year comes to a close? 🌙Honouring the magic of our wombs and our connection to the earth as cyclic beings feels like one of the most powerful rituals of all 🥀 .
.
We need to normalise menstruation! As @sassylisalister says, We bleed for 5+ days each month and dont die- that is nothing short of a super power!! This photo might trigger you or digust you, but go deeper as to why something that helped create you makes you so uncomfortable? We werent born to think periods are gross! We must work harder to remove the stigmatisation and see the magic ✨ this might just save the world 🔻

I find this quote just so moving deep within me, like an age-old remembering. Women are healing, uniting and collectively rising. Today I gifted my blood back to Mother Earth, hoping that as more women become connected to and loving of their bodies and their connection with nature we will be able to save this beautiful earth from destruction and corruption 🌏 .

Solstice blessings and free gifts for all! 🙌💕 Phew, the christmas crazy is almost over. Hopefully you will soon have even a few days to put your feet up, bask in the sun, refill your cup, and plan for a flowing and balanced 2018! A fresh new year awaits! .

✨ARE YOU STARTING TO CONSIDER YOUR GOALS, PLANS AND HOPES FOR THE NEW YEAR? ✨
.
I find that summer with its salty sea air, long balmy nights and adventures to hidden beaches really allow my true self to emerge. She is wild and free and has a resilience and abundance of positivity about the coming year.

Today is also the summer solstice (Winter Solstice in the North). Our days will (sadly!) be getting shorter again. Beach days will become limited, holidays will be over and hard work will set in once again. If I haven’t set up a pretty solid routine and plan for how I will juggle everything I know it will get really tricky and I will become stuck.

Planning for me isn’t always just writing lists, routines and meal plans though. For me I really need to dive deep into myself and slowly and gently explore each layer of my being- both the easy and the challenging, in order to lay a strong foundation for my goals, hopes, dreams, plans, business, family & self nourishment.

I first need a foundation based on a full cup, sustainability, reflection , connection and flow before I can even look at the outcomes I want to achieve. .
Part of this foundation is also about diving deep in to the things that are more uncomfortable, challenging or painful. We must first give ourselves permission to release what no longer serves us before we can fill up with what it is we desire.

Discomfort and acknowledging what is no longer serving us is not something that we are often encouraged to actively seek and feel. It can be ‘ugly’ and is generally expected to remain in the shadows.

We cannnot have light without the dark.
This isn’t something to shy away from. Instead it can be embraced as a vital part of living a life of meaning and fulfillment. 🌱DO YOU HAVE AN END OF YEAR RITUAL OR RELEASE TO SUPPORT YOUR FRESH NEW BEGINNING? 🤔

🌱✨‘I believe that sitting in person and crying with strangers can save the world’ – Brene Brown🌱✨
.
What an intense energy it has been of late! Mercury retrograde, dark/new moon in Sagittarius, and the heavy lead up to Christmas! 🎄@nurturethegoddess And I held a #goddessgathering on Sunday to try to combat some of the disconnection and stress that often comes at these times. When women gather magic really does always happen! ✨ It is the ultimate example of mutual aid in action in such a pure and beautiful form. Rewilding organically happens as the women begin to feel safe in their vulnerability as they are held and heard. The layers of external conditioning begin to peel away and a deep remembering happens just as their true wild woman begins to peak through. We are so incredibly honoured to facilitate and hold a space for this magic to take place. And for the women who entrust us with their vulnerability, as they keep coming back.
We read the following @brenebrown Quote at the gathering, and it's always pure awe to see how the quotes we choose often align with the collective feelings in the circle. This quote really does sum up exactly why we continue this work... ‘...face to face connection is imperative in our true belonging practice. Not only did face to face contact emerge as essential from the participant data in my research, but studies across the world confirm those findings… One of the most well respected researchers in this area is Susan Pinker. In her book ‘The Village Effect – How Face to Face contact can make us healthier and happier’ Pinker writes “In a short evolutionary time we have changed from group living primates skilled at reading each other’s every gesture and intention, to a solitary species, each one of us preoccupied with our own screen.” Based on studies across diverse fields Pinker concludes there is no substitute for face to face interactions. They are proven to bolster our immune system, send positive hormones surging through our blood stream and brain and helps us live longer. Pinker adds “I call this building your village, and building it is a matter of life or death.” 📸@merakilabbe

✨🔻🥀This divine representation of the bleeding woman completely embodies everything I feel about the magic of our blood, cycle and womb space ✨🔻The veil becomes thin when we are bleeding. We must access the messages and visions to bring back to our community and tribe as women have always done. We are magic ✨women were born with superpowers and this picture highlights that so perfectly 🔻
.
RepostBy @priestessingtheparadigmshift: "The Blood Priestess, a Wombmyn Betwixt the Worlds~ It is said in the Wise Woman Tradition, that when a women is bleeding, she is more psychically attuned to the Universe. Both physically & energetically, the bleeding woman embodies trance-mutation.

Crimson Creatrix whispers memories of an ancient age. A time of devotion, divination, & sanctification. A time of deep adoration of the blood. Thru out our lives we give to many. But our blood time is the time we give to ourselves. We nurture our bodies & we nurture the Earth. We give thanks for this sacred blessing of death & rebirth, releasing & surrendering, asking & receiving. Creatrix of this incredible piece of art: @natasailincic ❤️" )

🔻🌹So I heard a staggering statistic on the radio yesterday. We have known for years and years that there are a number of really nasty side effects to hormonal contraceptives (as with most drugs). But the recent research shows that women who are on hormonal contraception (which lets face it is a lot) are THREE TIMES more likely to die by suicide. Three.times! . This makes me sad for so many reasons. 😞. As a social worker my special area of focus was working with adolescent girls mostly as a counsellor and group facilitator. I talked about everything with them and they loved to especially discuss taboos- mostly because no one else would talk straight to them about things like periods. They'd get told "don't have sex" or "just go on the pill" like it's no big deal! With no other information. We all love a quick fix right? My husband has been known to say he wishes he could just have a pill for food cos it'd be easier 😂. But are we really informed about the costs of these quick fixes? What are they actually fixing? Or more to the point what are they hurting? 🤔This is not to say that there aren't also benefits- many women feel very grateful for modern medicine to help avoid unwanted pregnancy, to assist in menstrual issues (even suffering). But what if we were taught that we could learn so much about our bodies through the messages of our womb. Maybe we would choose t avoid the need for these hormones that play havoc on us? Not only are these synthetic hormones messing with our flow but they are filling up our water 💦 sources and everyone on the planet is ingesting them! 😳when we connect with the magic and wisdom of our womb and our cycle, often there are very real tangible answers that may change our life. Knowledge is power! It's knowing what to look for. Many women are healing from endo, pcos and other menstrual conditions through old wise ways, with support of natural medicine... and the messages of their womb cycle. 🔻Please talk to the young women in your life! Talk to them about their magic! Hear them. Hold them. Teach them! Remind them again that they are magic and that the wisdom they seek often already resides within them if they just listen. ❤

🌱Mastering the Rewilding journey 🌱I deeply value living the messages that I both preach and offer in my services. Nourishment and self care have been the foundation of my work since I began this journey. I have been slowly able to peel back layers of instilled expectations and external beliefs as I nourished and nurtured myself and others. Yet recently I have found myself stuck. Lost. Like a deer in headlights. unsure of what to do next. Frustrated at circumstances out of my control... As I move into this next phase- most likely finished with having babies, and feeling a sense of needing to dive deeper I am faced again with another transformation. This time less forceful & pressing, but my own rewilding journey 🌱 Pruning away the vines of old that have grown around me and are holding me down, while planting new and exciting seeds to honour, nurture and tend to. I have been feeling incredibly heavy and stuck! Just like an old vine that has never been tended to. The sun can't reach the deep inner layers which start to brown. I was feeling exhausted. When I am unwell I often get the strongest intuitive messages and the message I received was that even though I felt empty, I will never 'run out' of the ability to provide nourishment. It is never gone. There is always abundance. But I must align and flow much better than I am. 🤔So I chanted the mantra to Kali and asked for guidance. Fear and an unusual need for external validation was creeping in. Please send me guidance! Today I was grateful for some magic making with a dear friend sent to me by the goddess I'm sure who held my space and heard my fears. When women gather, magic always happens ✨Nourishment has been my focus for many years, and will continue to be, but as I move forward, rewilding for myself and in the work I do with others is most definitely calling me. To peel back those layers and dive deeper into those parts unseen by the sun for too long. We need to unravel, prune and tend to all parts of us and then can we full embrace and enjoy our nourishment. So today I celebrate this journey that is evolving, and my ability to flow with it. Thanks @beccafreo for helping me find my #flowmojo again💕

♦️Embodiment♦️ Working with your cycle is not a quick fix. You will not chart one cycle and suddenly have all aspects of your life flow together, without ever having to chart another cycle. ✨

The power of working with your cycle is embodying the knowledge you gain. It is one thing to understand on an intellectual level, but until you have felt it in your body, and understood it at a cellular level, it is only words

♦️Celebration♦️ It is so important to look back and reflect on where you have come from. Especially, when there is so much information readily available to us –it is very easy focus on what you still want to attain and how you still want to grow

I would love to say that I started charting my cycle after beautiful moment of realisation, where the sun was shining, life was wonderful and I was purely looking to make things even brighter. That however, would simply not be the truth. I started charting my cycle because I was exhausted. I was sick of Drs saying that my bloods were perfectly normal and I was a picture of health –clearly I knew this wasn’t the case, as I was having moments where I didn’t feel like functioning and sleep seemed like best solution
🔮
Not one health professional I interacted with suggested that perhaps it would be beneficial to reassess my hormonal contraception, and not one suggested that there were any reliable non-hormonal options available. It wasn’t until I was listening to an online summit about hormones that I realised that there were alternate options –so from there I stopped the pill and hoped that this would give me some answers (and ensure I avoided pregnancy) *retrospectively I probably could have done a little more research before taking this step, but it felt so right

What happened from there has been nothing short of amazing; and the realisations came flooding in. Slowly, one cycle after another, my energy and desire to live a vibrant life returned. To see what I was feeling written down on my chart was confronting, but it also gave me something tangible to work with. It allowed me to see how changes I made either resulted positively or negatively on my cycle and my life. My mind was blown! I simply could not keep this amazing practice to myself
🔮
Charting my cycle allowed me to tap into the inherent wisdom of my womb and unleash vibrancy and flow. Where previously all I had felt was sadness, exhaustion and fear

♦️Sisterhood♦️ "Each time women gather in circles, the world heals a little more" -Unknown
🌹
Have you ever sat in circle with other women? What is the first though that comes to mind when you think of sisterhood? 🌹
My recent workshop has reiterated to me just how passionate I am about bringing women together; to be their authentic selves in safe, sacred spaces. When women gather there is something magical that occurs. It is almost too hard to put into words
🌹
There immeasurable power in sharing your story and your experience with other women who truely and deeply listen to you, without judgement or agenda 🌹
Patriarchy and the betrayals of women by other women, through out the centuries, have left wounds on our psyche. But now is the time to step up, and reclaim our special connection and the magic that occurs when we sit in circle
🌹
Stay tuned for something very exciting happening in January 2018 👉🏼 all the juicy details coming very soon.

🔻✨Can I chart, understand and honour my cycle even if I don’t actually menstruate?🔻🍎🥀🤔 As someone who works a lot with pregnant and breastfeeding women, I get asked this question a lot. 👉The simple answer is YES!👈 YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN CHART, DEVELOP A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF, AND CONNECTION WITH YOUR CYCLE AND WOMB/WOMB SPACE EVEN IF YOU DON’T MENSTRUATE (OR HAVE IRREGULAR CYCLES). In retaining their blood within their womb space, women are said to maintain and heighten their intuitive and spiritual powers. This allows them to redirect their energy toward their intuition, healing, wise practices, creativity and supporting the passing down of the knowledge and wisdom to the women after them. 👉Read the full blog post on my website👈

🌸Self care 🌸It means so many different things to different people but there is a woven theme of feeling the pull to flow and slow down. To not get caught up in the hustle of modern society. To find stillness, intention, routine, have basic needs met AND a regular form of diving deeper into self nourishment. That potent level of deep radical self care is not found generally in a money exchange and often does not rely on the need for anyone else. Our self care practices ebb and flow and evolve over our lifetime as we find better acquaintance and comfort within ourselves. And as our needs and circumstances change. I'm loving unpacking these ideas of what self care means to each individual, and whether perhaps there is some sort of 'hierarchy of self care' similar to Maslow's hierarchy of needs.
The wonderful @spiritysol is also running a self care challenge where you can join myself and others in challenging ourselves to maintain the refilling of our cup in all sorts of ways to meet our needs! You can also win some really wonderful things including a PDF copy of my planner! #spiritysolselfcare #rewildandflow #cyclesmatter

♦️Wild Woman♦️
I am deep into the luteal phase of my cycle; the lead up to my period. This phase of your cycle can be compared to autumn and the wild woman or enchantress archetype is strong
🌹
Oh how my wild woman can be fierce! Yet her creativity and power is potent when channeled in a constructive way
🌹
Of all the phases of the menstrual cycle, this was the one I would feel crazy, out of control and full of doubt. Working with my cycle has truly allowed me to begin exploring and embracing this phase to its full potential

🌹🔻🍎We are all cyclic beings. Flowing and connecting with the moon, the seasons and the earth. But so many of us are so disconnected- to our bodies, to the earth, to each other. Too many of us disconnected and stressed. I have been pondering self care lately. It has certainly become something of a buzzword. Generally to sell you something! Self care and self nourishment are so important- especially for those of us in healing professions, or those of us who are deep empaths. But what actually is self care? It is sold to us as a form of material gain or physical improvement- go buy yourself that new dress you deserve it! Book into that retreat! Go get your hair/nails/modification done. Eat that tub of ice cream and binge on Netflix. All in the name of self care. Let me tell you, as a mum who barely gets ANY time to myself, sitting on the toilet by myself can sometimes be classified as self care! But perhaps we need to be looking deeper into the different levels of self care that exist. I would love to go to my yoga class after I got a pass for my birthday- but my partner is unwell, my kids need me, I need to keep working in any spare time I get, dinner needs to get made. And sometimes just getting shit done does count as self care because it's better that than the stress of it not being done. So I guess in my late night thoughts I wonder, do you have a hierarchy type model for self care? Those things that need to get done vs the things that offer a deep dive nourishment vs those more superficial (not always good for you but feel good) self care practices? Do you count things as self care that perhaps shouldn't be and should just be a standard part of your life? What does self care look like for you if you're a mum and don't get any time to yourself? Do you prioritise refilling yourself? Ive been loving the similar collective consciousness on this topic that is clearly coming up not just for me from @spiritysol @radicalselfcareproject and @a.seekers.soul that Ive noticed as I have been pondering this for myself. I'd love to hear from you. (📸 from my Labour and Love planner for birthworkers 👆link in bio. Illustration by @spiritysol) 🥀
