FF007 was a project that taught me much about myself. Oftentimes I wonder if I am too literal. When I claim I’ve built something, I mean it. I built it. When I’ve modified or customized something, that’s exactly what it is, it’s modified, customized. When I bolt on Parts to my production car, I didn’t build it.
I believe media and social media has done a disservice to many in the Auto realm who have put everything on the line to do something completely unique, something with heart and soul that requires more than any current trend could demand. This type of effort can’t be slammed into an over dramatized “48 hour build” that becomes the new trend. In my opinion, trends are the easy way out. An effort to appeal and monetize a mass for a short period of time. Unfortunately, that works. I hope people would expect more.
Perhaps pulling inspiration from timeless design and some of the most influential eras in history could be called “Safe” but I find great satisfaction in making this challenge my own.
My newest build commission will be my greatest challenge to date. This is to execute a product that is relevant in performance and aesthetics by today’s standards, blended with traditional handcrafted coachwork and most importantly, timeless design.
Thanks to everyone who has chosen to click that follow button and join me on this journey, I’m so excited for what’s around the corner. ✌🏻
