The gorgeous Blue Mesa Reservoir is on my blog this week. It is the largest body of water in Colorado. The topography in the Curecanti National Recreation Area that surrounds it is high desert and so unusual.
Flashback to the last big trip I did to the Rockies about one month ago. There are times when the things you need to do (like writing a 40 page capstone paper) make it hard to find time for the things you might want to do. The important thing is that you learn something along the way, and wow, have I learned a lot already!
As the City Attorney (yes I have a real job) of our City I have a responsibility to ensure the property of our citizens is accounted for and well cared for. One of my favorites is Engine 278. A 1882 narrow gage steam engine providing service to our town for 70 years. Come visit her at Curecanti National Recreation Area (U.S. National Park Service) just out side of town.
