I used to think people only respond to their emotions, asking God to forgive them after listening to a touching sermon only to return to where they left. But, I myself experience the struggle with the human nature which itself is sin.
I already lost count of how many times I gave my life to Jesus Christ asking for forgiveness of sin. Was it because I never meant it? Or that I probably never understood the resurrection power?
Far from it. I just didn't experience the Cross. I didn't realize that sin itself is a nature, more like a “be-ing". The very inheritance of every human from Adam.
N.B; This didn't mean that God had not forgiven my sins. #dBlood cleansed me , washing it all away. But the flesh, like a desire... ...the limitation of man. The very entity that was nailed to the Cross.
The Cross is very vital, and the only way, to subdue the flesh(body) which represents the sinful(human) nature.
So, I, beholding #dCross, see my body crucified in Jesus Christ, and alive, also in Him, [I AM; DIVINE; THE RIGHTEOUS]
Therefore, there is, now, no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who, partaking in the divine nature, live, not according to the sinful nature but to the Spirit.
