I like to think I have my own little murder of crows after pairing with them for almost a year. These photos/videos are from three different groups in town. They’re still not completely comfortable with me (which is good cause humans are still their #1 predator), but I’m honored to be trusted at all by these amazing birds. #corvids #crowstagram #corvidae #crow #crows #birds #birdsofinstagram #myfavoritemurder #crowfriends #peanuts #peanutmobile #minnesota #minnesotawinter #minnesotawildlife #minnesotabirds #crowsofinstagram #sosmart

These are just the older babies from Matty. These are coastal crows and have a different diet than inland crows. These guys are the crows you see at the beaches in the pnw, dropping shellfish from high above rocks so they can crack them open and eat them. They're usually an extremely shy and cautious bird. It takes quite a bit of time for these guys to trust anything. For them to stay around for generations now has been my everyday miracle in seeing the bond they have with me.....awwww shit I got sappy. 🤣😍 Everyday when I go out they're already looking for me. If I can't get out, they come to the windows. Matty feels comfortable enough she'll wait in the tree above the feed spot while I fill water and lay out food for all our outside visitors and coo and inform me of important crow thingz.
