💆🏻Correcting Color 101 When coloring the roots darker for a shadow effect and brightening your ombré , beware of a shadow root becoming too much like a dark shoe polish effect.
NOTE- Pinterest has primarily touched up filtered hair colors on there. 💥Reality-
Light reflects on hair constantly and changes often , so the density of the hair really matters and the levels of color that you choose to use on clients.
Yesterday, we removed an overly dark root made on virgin hair. It will never be exact because color is artificial (yes, even if they say , it will fade, or its organic, etc etc ) ,until the natural grows out.
However, with 3.5 hours of color science , we got pretty close to her natural dark level 7. a few more toners to keep the warmth controlled , & it will be as close as possible.
Love my salon sisters for your help and always geeking out on the intricacies of hair color science with me @shelface & @metalmadame 💥MORAL of the this story:
