Bake Ahead Chicken Drumsticks for a Crowd

Recipe is on my FB page. Link in profile.⬆️ Every time I make Chicken Drums, I wonder why they aren’t more popular. Why is the wing the thing? Drums have more meat, less bone. They are juicier, and in my opinion, more flavorful. They can be marinated, glazed, oven roasted and grilled…not fried. I just don’t get it!
I must give credit to Christine Pittman over at “Cook the Story” for this “bake ahead” slow roasting/grilling technique. The only tweak I gave it was the dry rub and I added 20 minutes of oven cooking time. I used, as she suggested, my own BBQ Sauce. (Recipe below). Let me tell you, these drumsticks are “fall off the bone” tender, juicy and habit forming.
I seasoned and roasted and The Hubby grilled them off. We make a great team! 😊
I made 18 Drums. Make as many as you like. Remember, leftovers are the Bomb!! Hot or Cold.
