The Bible reveals that Jesus is quite literally the light of the world [cosmos] (John 1:4). The Bible also teaches that the iniquities [all the collective sins] of us all He [God] laid on His righteous servant [Jesus Christ] (Isaiah 53). What can be said of what God has revealed through three divinely appointed authors? That unappointed and undesignated darkness occurs, when Jesus who is the light of the world had to be forsaken as a result of sin.
However, this in no way reveals any sin within Jesus. That is, being God’s righteously appointed servant, there was no sin in Him (1 John 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Yet, He had to suffer and be forsaken for the sake of us all (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 1 John 2:2). There is and can never be a time that all of humanity and all of Creation for that matter, can ever be without cause to give thanks to God for what He accomplished through the act of His Son dying on that Cross.
Jesus breathing His last was like ‘a lamb led to the slaughter’ and His death on the Cross was Him bearing ‘the sin of many’ and making ‘intercession for the transgressors.’ #ThankYouJesus
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb [the crucifixion of Jesus] and by the word of their testimony [sharing the good news of what God did for all mankind on the Cross where His Son died for the sin of the world]
