“Since I was young, I’ve always played sports. I’ve competed. And I love to compete. In college, I was able to play intramurals to satisfy my thirst for competition. Every week there was something to play. The years since I graduated, I’ve tried to maintain at least one or two teams in adult sports leagues around town, but the older I got, the more these teams became casual and recreational. There was still competition, but it wasn’t about being competitive anymore. Additionally, I wasn’t working to maintain my fitness to compete. When my cousin asked to me to try out Crossfit, I was intrigued. I knew it would be a big step in staying and shape, and I was optimistic about the competition. In the last two years, my expectations of both were completely blown away. Almost immediately I could tell I was improving physically. It was the first time in my life where I was really getting stronger. And it felt great. Additionally, as I got to know the rest of the crew, it became competitive. Daily the workouts were not only about beating my previous bests, but also keeping up with those I was working out with. Two years in, the competitiveness is still there. Every day we joke and push each other. Not wanting to be bested by each other. But more importantly, those I’m competing against have become friends. And to show up at the gym with friends to battle it out for a moment of bragging rights… that’s Why I Crossfit.” @brunn11 ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ We are proud to have Jason as one of our early members!
