"THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE IMPOSSIBLE AND THE POSSIBLE LIES IN A PERSON'S DETERMINATION." We've all read the quotes. HERE is what Arushke's determination accomplished. "Saturday, January 11th, 2014 is the day that changed the rest of my life.
One minute, we were in the car on our way to PE and the next thing I know, I am in a hospital bed throwing up every 5 seconds. The first 14 days were touch & go. I had a broken back (L5), two broken feet, six broken ribs, collapsed a lung, nine tares to my small intestine, torn liver and severed abdominal muscles from the force of the seatbelt.
Our drive was cut short only 10km from home by a head-on collision with a drunk driver.
The 44 days spent staring at the ceiling in ICU and another 2 weeks in the surgical ward, was probably the most frustrating time I have ever experienced. Needing a respirator to help me breathe, being fed through a tube and needing help with basic things like having a drink of water. Things you usually take for granted.” Go to our Facebook page for Arushke’s full inspirational story. @lionsbaycrossfit #ForPrideAndGlory
