A group of scholars from @kyotouniversity recently participated in an #AFLSP seminar led by Professor ZHAO Liang. WAN Ziyan(@ziyan.miya), a scholar from the 2017 cohort, shared about her recent research on air pollution in China and Japan, her visit to Facebook’s Tokyo office, and her internship at a local startup, Wantedly, where she was involved in analyzing overseas businesses. HSU Po-Wei, also from the 2017 cohort, presented his seven-month research on the behavioral patterns of ant crickets in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Indonesia. “The seminar was a good opportunity for me to reflect on and share my experiences in Japan over the past six months. I especially appreciate the advice I received from the professor, which encourages me to keep improving ahead of the next seminar,” says Ziyan.
A big thank you to Kyoto University’s faculty for their time and support, and to attending scholars for their participation and hard work!
