Weigh in done and not going to lie....feel a bit disheartened. Been poorly with a virus since last Monday so have been taking strepsils, cough medicine, steroids for my asthma, antibiotics plus haven’t been drinking as much this weekend as we were camping and didn’t fancy multiple trips to the toilet in the night with a torch 🙈
So this week.....drink plenty more water, try and shift this horrible virus, have shakes, soup abs bars - no porridge. And see how I get on.

👌🏽Focus on going through the day eating well not less, getting in plenty of nutrient dense foods to fuel your body right. And don’t forget your water lovelies!💦👌🏽

So other than the merge feast and the chopper picnic, I was eating rice, coconut and the extremely occasional fish (thanks @mermaid___man)! I also found two Giant Clams and caught a crab 🦀 (with my bra! 👙 😂) all on my own! Crazy to think I went over 1 month and only had 2 real meals. Survivor is real, y’all 👻 🌴

Whilst the first rule of thumb in any weight loss/gain journey is to accurately measure your energy balance in accordance with your goal, the second is to find a method to sustain it.

The crash diet falls into the unsustainable diet category. It normally involves banning enjoyed foods, eating fractional portions, punishing hunger martyrdom... Oh, and making the food you consume as bland as humanly possible...

The thing is. We are intelligent creatures. We have thoughts, desires and emotions present when deciding on food/drink consumption. Logic tells you that if you want to lose fat you need to eat less - and to expedite fat loss you should eat as little as possible. However, the problem is that we’ll work out how miserable it is pretty quickly and do something about it - because we’re intelligent.

Usually that something will be an almighty binge. Why? Because we recognize extreme hunger. We automatically associate it with potential consequences such as starvation. So, when we continue to deprive our bodily systems of what it wants/needs, these feelings intensify. -

Not only are you probably going into a calorie surplus, but your mindset of food and it’s purpose to you will be negative and messed up. The irony is that this mindset and behaviour is born out of the previous crash diet attempt which also resulted in excessive calorie consumption episodes. It’s a revolving door. -

Surely it’s a better idea to be rational. Accept that the goal will take time. Instead of trying to rapidly lose fat in the short term, set a realistic calorie target which will be sustainable and enjoyable in the long term, whilst consuming foods you enjoy in moderation. Chip away at your goal. Progress will be slower, but constant 🤜🤛. P.s. thanks to @coachjackk for the inspiration behind my image! 🙌

Deffen närmar sig sitt slut.. 3 dagar kvar. Nere på 89,3 kg.. målet va 97,8 att tappa 10 kg på 6 veckor. Men jag får va nöjd med 8.4 kg..tar en paus och fortsätter dieten om 4 veckor, låta kroppen återhämta sig på +-0.
