I’ve had a few people ask why I haven’t been to the gym and what workouts I do at home, especially since I don’t have a ton of equipment. —————————————————————-
1) My girls hate the Kidcare and I don’t want them to have a negative association with the gym. I want it to be a fun memory so it’s also a part of their lifestyle as they get older. And I also feel guilty making them go. Not to mention, as a single mom with no family in the area to help, it’s hard to find a consistent schedule between work, kids school and dance. But those are just excuses, haha! So I’m doing stuff from home unless someone has a GREAT/reliable nanny they can recommend!!!
2) I honestly do the same things I’d do in the gym, just no weights. It’s not even close to the same 😩, but better than nothing, right?? I have some dumbbells and bands, ab bench and pull up bar. Tonight I just did some squats, lunges, kicks backs with leg bands and then some ab work. My fav to finish are back extensions. Ideally, I’d like to go deeper but my bench isn’t built for that. However, I’m able to keep my abs contracted at this angle.
