Today is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. 1 in 4 pregnancies end in a loss. 👶🏻👶🏾👶🏼👼🏼 Some are open about their losses, while some grieve silently on their own (this used to be me). Many feel shame and guilt regarding their losses.
After James’s 2nd bout with cancer and bone marrow transplant we became aware we may never have kids of our own. 😥
With our first 2 failed rounds of IVF for awhile I personally thought it had to be something I was doing wrong. My diet, injections at the wrong time, ...you name it!
Finally with our 3rd attempt we got our princesses! 👸🏼👸🏼Then 2 years later- Corbin - a complete miracle! 👦🏻 October 2016 we attempted our last 2 frozen embryos and got the devastating news they would not be with us on this Earth. 😥😥 beyond blessed with our existing family but I still personally suffer waves of heartache 💔
I now share our story just as a hope to help others in similar situations! 💞#Awareness is needed so families can be open and talk about their losses, these babies are our children, and they are missing pieces of our families. If anyone wants to know more details of our journey please reach out! I want to help and encourage others! 🙏🏻 And if you know someone who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss, remember their babies with them today. 🤗I am 1 in 4!
