Sipping on that new brew from @treehousebrewco I Have Promises To Keep, a DIPA celebrating another anniversary between Nate and Lauren.
This is Brew is made with copious doses of Citra and Nelson hops, both in the kettle and dry Hop. The description given and having some time to taste lead me to believe this is an Imperial and extra hopped version of In Perpetuity akin to how Doubleganger is to Alter Ego or King JJJuliusss is to Julius.
Pouring a deep golden orange, this beer pours quite hazy with a nice fluffy and sudsy white head. Tons of lacing left behind.
Tastes and aromas are very Nelson prominent, as I get a ton of vinous notes, white wine grapes and some earth. Plenty of citrus present as well. Tons of melon and melon rind as a result of a nice harmonious melding of the two hops used.
Body is full, creamy, silky smooth, carb is fluffy and well dispersed at medium teetering on medium plus. Hardly any bitterness. Just a hint, and quite rounded.
Overall I think In Perp fans will be pleased by this. Bigger, badder and a bit more complex, yet dangerously drinkable, this is a beer worth seeking out. Cheers 🍻
