Found him!!! There are those few #fortunate times when you're tracking a bobcat's signal and they actually come to you. The last time I seen this little guy was when we collared him not too long ago. Even though Coyote Valley is a great place for bobcats to survive, the area also poses a lot of obstacles in the nearby highway and roads. This is a young #bobcat who may be just beginning to establish his territory. He will have to traverse carefully around Santa Teresa, Monterey Rd, and highway 101. We put a lot of time and effort into collaring and tracking these #beautifulanimals and we hope that we can continue to track them for years to come. It was refreshing to be on an actual bike path with no cars for 35 km! Unfortunately this creek has many homeless people as they have easy access to the water. I wonder what the local government is doing about it. 😕. It also seems like some of these hills were affected by the wildfires that broke out 2 weeks ago.
