Don't you love it when breakfast looks like a desert?
I've been eating lots of foods high in natural healthy fats recently. Particularly obsessed with nuts and nut butters.
It's been proven that despite what the media has told us , a diet high in natural good fats (such as nuts , avocado and cheese) is not going to make us get fat. It's instead the white carbs (the bread , pasta , rice and potatoes - aswell as sugar which in fact makes us gain weight.
Natural good fats are essential for our brain health. The list of their benefits are endless but decreased risk of Dementia , Alzheimer's , ADHD , Anxiety and Depression are just a few to name.
Nuts are also high in Magnesium; the bodies natural relaxant and sustainer of the nervous system. If you're feeling stressed or anxious - (when it's even more tempting to turn to carbs + sugar) try a Nutty alternative instead 🥜
My breakfast in this photo is Coconut yogurt (dairy free 'Coyo') , Almonds , Brazil nuts , Walnuts and chopped hazelnuts with strawberries.
I was full all morning , despite not having any carbs. A good source of protein is enough to sustain.
