W5/R19: I’m officially into week 5 of @marinecorpsmarathon training! Today’s workout was 2 up, 5 at tempo pace, and 2 down. I hit my paces in my tempo workout today like a boss. I wanted to keep them in the 7:45 range, and ended up with about a 7:32 average pace for the temp portion of my workout. The last mile was HARD, but I got it done. .
I seemed to sort of run out of energy at the end, and I’m wondering if maybe I should try to eat something before these longer tempo runs. 🤷♀️ I do all runs except my long runs fasting, but my body definitely isn’t used to these longer workouts, so it’s worth a shot.
