Love peeking down that lane...Such a beautiful crisp and chilly Autumn day here today. I only slipped twice on the street getting the Sunday newspapers. Considering how clumsy I am, that's not bad going!
With picture perfect locations, film directors and TV producers are drawn to this area in droves. It is an irresistible place to feature. You can even follow in the footsteps of the Earl of Grantham by visiting the community of Bampton which stood in as the village of Downton in the popular TV show Downton Abbey. There are more than 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways to explore, which weave between ancient woodlands and wildflower meadows and along 4,000 miles of historic Cotswold stone walls that slice through the landscape.
If you only have time to cover one mile, make it the one between the villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter. Yes, they are dreadfully named places when you come to think about it! Follow the pretty River Eye past 19th-century water mills, riverside tea rooms and Copse Hill, the street often named the most romantic in Britain.
Have a smashing Sunday! Lovely shot by @monalogue 🇬🇧 Want your Photos of Britain to be featured? Follow us and tag us in the picture too! We feature the very best of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland! 🇬🇧
