A bigger chest can truly be a blessing and a curse. For pattern making it's most certainly the latter. Shown here are the middle front piece of my Snow Weiss and the outer back in all the versions the pattern went through. Technically there was a final version as well, but I didn't want to deal with another set of patterns, so I just drew the final adjustments onto my fabric (a terrible idea as is turned out xD).
The original pattern was great for the overall circumference of my body, but as you can imagine by how much I added in the first step alone, it didn't really do much in regards to actually covering me up. So the first step was really just elongating the pieces so they wouldn't just fit up to my chest, but cover it as well.
Then came @melissacharlotmay 's workshop and (among other things) she helped me create V2 of the pattern, a much needed improvement in regards to having the piece actually fit me and not just flop around everywhere. My lack of a mannequin means that I can't properly test my patterns on something my size without being in it myself. And from there it's really hard to get things in the back, or even a good overview in the first place. Plus I tend to let Melissa do a quick check of logic errors (which I really should've done for the sleeves as well xD) where she tends to find a few little flaws that I can easily fix and won't make again (like e.g. adding more seam allowance for the zipper). So I'm honestly not sure what I'd have done without her. She's really been amazing at teaching me how to do all this. <3
