Okay here's a huge post on each of the accessories I made/decorated for my Spider Queen! It's going to be hard to go into detail about each piece, so if you have any questions just ask! But, the gist is:
-The Crown: I had that from my first ren faire trip as a princess that I had already spray painted and added gems, so then I just went in and roughed it all up with hot glue, paint, and fabric. Total time spent on it: 3 hours between two days
-The Shoulder Spider Pad: that was completely hand made by me, with velvet, sequins, stuffing, ribbon, hot glue, chain, and cardboard. The spider I bought at my local dollar store and just added the gems on top of it. It's a bit messy but oh well. Total time spent on it: 2 hours
-The Belt: I bought the belt from a thrift shop and roughed it up, adding more texture and depth to it. Then I used my glue gun again (it was a lifesaver in this) and added the spiderwebbing. As for the bottles, I bought those at a tag sale months ago, and scuffed them up with paint. I filled one with fake blood and the other with black paint and water. Sealed the tops, added some ribbon, and glued/tied em on. Very easy.!!!Total time: 2 hours between two days. -The Glove: oh boy, this was the toughest. I completely handmade it, starting with a pattern out of scrap fabric. It's made with the same velvet used on the shoulder pad, with some pieces of the belt chopped up to be used as trim. The finger hole is a bit messy, but hey. It was put together with hot glue because I suck at sewing, but it held up perfectly. As for the spiders on it, two are just plastic ones I got at the dollar store, but the rest are handmade out of polymer clay and wire, as I couldn't find ANY TINY SPIDERS UGH DONT GET ME STARTED ON THAT. The glove goes on by velcro, but I actually had slightly messed up the placement of the Velcro, so it was sticking out quite a lot. I ended up going out and buying black fringe to glue over one side to hide my boo boo, and added more spiders to it, and it seemed to do the trick! Total time spent on it: 4ish days?? I think two hours a day
But yeah sorry for the lengthy post, I am just really proud of all the hard work!
