Restoration of W.O. DECKER is continuing, and we are on track to have her back in the water and on her way to meet Corning Museum of Glass’ GlassBarge. While Decker is being restored, the Seaport Museum will be operating JAY BEE V as the tug for CMoGs Glassbarge. JAY BEE V is a modern version of W.O. DECKER, an unassuming workhorse that gets the job done, having served her whole life as an assist tug at a shipyard, moving tugs, barges, and all manner of other vessels. Freshly refurbished, JAY BEE V will be joining the GlassBarge in Waterford, this weekend.
W.O. DECKER will be heading up North to join the GlassBarge as soon as she leaves shipyard, so stay tuned, right here, for updates regarding her launching, and her transit up to the Erie Canal.
