Lulu is ready to find her forever home. Could that be with you? Occasionally, we have dogs in rescue that never even had a first chance. Recently, we took into foster five puppy mill moms. They weren’t pets, they were stock. They weren’t walking companions, they were never allowed outside their crates. They didn’t know basic commands, had never walked on a leash, & had heard few if any kind words. We put them in with kind & loving fosters, & (many thanks to donations from many of you) got them the vet care & compassion they sorely needed.
And they blossomed. After being alone for so long, Lulu loves any kind of human contact. Her ideal day would include a gourmet dog breakfast, a nice slow leisurely walk, a game of tug of war, a treat or two, cuddling time with her human, & time spent laying out on the sunny deck.
Because of her quiet nature, & her reluctance to engage in any rambunctious play or activity, Lulu would be best suited to a single person, a couple or a family without young children that will not expect her to engage in a lot of vigorous activity. Lulu had issues with stretched tendons when she was younger, but has shown no evidence of problems with us, & the vet did not note any concerns. However, she needs to stay slim to make sure she doesn't encounter problems in the future.
